A Federal Court of Australia judgment finds Apple contravened the misuse of market power law (s 46) since 6 Nov 2017. From 1 March 2027 (3 May if extended), iPhones with Australian Apple Accounts must allow alternative app stores, sideloading and other payments. Apple says it will seek a stay and appeal to protect "the safe, secure experience". The orders keep a scan and notarization step and exclude worldwide relief. https://www.judgments.fedcourt.gov.au/judgments/Judgments/fca/single/2026/2026fca1552 #Apple #AppStore #Antitrust #DigitalRights
