Burnham says youth employment and training crisis is a 'moral failure' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq0melgpre23o #Youth unemployment #Neet #Employment #Young people With regard to training there are plenty of online courses people could be directed to and helped to take part in, such as those I am doing with the #LinuxFoundation, so the people who run various courses, schemes for people could surely direct people to courses that are of 'actual value' to job seekers and employers. According to one of the reports by the LF https://www.linuxfoundation.org/resources/publications Employers do value skills and especially skills that can be evidenced and may hire people based on this, over having lots of experience, so there is a way to get ones foot in the door. I get the feeling a lot of the people who are given the job of helping the unemployed or even career changers or those whp want to move up don't understand the jobs market in 2026.
