Here at Mastodon we lost a voice for health, medicine and science, Helen Branswell. She was a Canadian living in the US until last year when she returned to be close to family. She worked hard to counter disinformation, her clear reporting on infectious disease helped me and many other make informed decisions among a lot of misinformation being passed around like bad gossip. She passed from cancer today. She will be missed greatly.
