Last night was a strange one. Restless sleep, woke up early with cold hands and feet, a general feeling of weakness and, strangest of all, a persistent thought about something that (didn’t) happen in 1996.

Yesterday (2026-04-07), with the announcement of a ceasefire with Iran, we felt for a moment something almost unfamiliar – relief. After weeks of constant missiles and uncertainty, it suddenly felt possible to sleep through the night and think about something other than the next alarm. 

But that moment didn’t last. 

While most of us were imagining how to return to routine, the Israeli government was already moving in the opposite direction: While war with Iran was put on pause, the bombardment of Lebanon escalated.

Hier (2026-04-07), avec l'annonce d'un cessez-le-feu avec l'Iran, nous avons ressenti un instant quelque chose de presque inhabituel : le soulagement. 

Après des semaines de missiles constants et d'incertitude, il a soudain semblé possible de dormir toute la nuit et de penser à autre chose qu'à la prochaine alerte. 

Mais ce moment n'a pas duré. 

Alors que la plupart d'entre nous imaginaient comment revenir à la routine, le gouvernement israélien allait déjà dans la direction opposée : alors que la guerre avec l'Iran était mise en pause, le bombardement du Liban s'est intensifié.
