Meta Settles Teen Social Media Addiction Case Meta agreed to settle a lawsuit (filed by 29 states in 2023) for up to $18 billion and includes several concessions that Meta will implement on their social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads; though most of the focus will be with Instagram).
