It's all fun and games on our high plateaus 3200-3905m, until upper troughs come thru. Even weak ones like today. Could only do short 1 hr hikes 3050-3300m Beartooth Plateau in punishing 60-100kph W winds, 0-3C face-scouring ❄️. Still, walk in the park compared to our squall line ordeal last 21June when 160kph gusts blasted in, ⚡️ too and face-shredding hail. That is why tree-line here is 3000-3150m. Tundra slowly greening, glad snowmelt is slowing. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana #mountains #gye
