The Holocaust resulted in the systematic murder of millions of Jews and other groups, including the deportation and killing of Marcel Jacobs and Louisette Azouvy.

8 May 1941 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Diena Hilda Akker, was born at the Hauge. In November 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her mother Frida. They were both murdered in a gas chamber right after the arrival selection.

9 May 1939 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Marcel Jacobs, was born in Enschede. He was deported to #Auschwitz in February 1943 with his mother Rika and his 7-year-old sister Marlene. They were all murdered in a gas chamber after the arrival selection.

9 May 1924 | A Greek Jewish girl, Louisette Azouvy (or Azouvi), was born in Thessaloniki. She emigrated to France. In November 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.
