We are all set for the launch of the JAXA Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission to the martian moons Phobos and Deimos, tomorrow Oct 19, at 19:41:03 UTC.
It's a fairly large and complex spacecraft with a bevy of instruments for studying the moons from orbit and on the surface.
MMX will be the first mission that returns to Earth after visiting Mars.

JAXA (Japan) and ESA (EU) are poised to launch MMX (Martian Moons eXploration), which among other things will send a rover to the Martian moon of Phobos. This is the first rover to visit a Martian *moon* as opposed to the planet itself, and if all goes well it will return a sample(!!!) -- ten grams of precious moon material.
Personally, I can't wait for this! Mars's moons are dreadfully under-explored, and I wish JAXA and ESA all good fortune.
