Last sublime Lakes District hike of season today, US-212 closing tomorrow. Started 2960m Island Lk., got to 3050m Albino Lake. Then up pass behind and ridge to 3250m point, offering expansive views of the District. Moist SW-W side of Beartooth Plateau, gets much more ❄️ than E of the crest. Brown dry tundra 8-12C stiff W wind. At least no bugs. Friend Jon and his high-energy littles came with. So glad moisture coming starting late Sat. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana #wyoming #mountains
