Happy 80th Birthday to the P/S Waverley. Launched on the 2nd of October 1946 at the A. & J. Inglis shipyard in Glasgow, she's the last sea-going passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. This was her heading down the Clyde close to Dumbuck in 2024. #glasgow #pswaverley #clydebuilt #glasgowhistory #reflections

PS Waverley was launched on 2nd October 1946, so happy 80th birthday to the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world! We've had the pleasure of sailing on her twice out of Portsmouth and to and around the Isle of Wight. Great experiences and lovely to compare with modern-day cruising. #Photography #Waverley #PSWaverley #PaddleSteamer #Cruise #Steamship #History
