The vOICe is a noninvasive vision BCI that converts live camera input into sound for the blind.

Restoring functional vision need not start with brain surgery. The vOICe converts a live camera view into sound. Unlike brain implants, The vOICe vision BCI is 100% noninvasive and can simply be discarded if you don't like it. Try it on your smartphone: https://www.seeingwithsound.com/webvoice/webvoice.htm
