Ukraine is participating in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism for the first time by sending a team of firefighters to assist with wildfires in France.

Ukrainian rescuers have set off to help protect lives and communities in #France, as devastating wildfires continue to spread across the south-west of the country. A team of 70 Ukrainian firefighters and 15 specialised vehicles has been deployed to France under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. If needed, Ukraine is also ready to provide aerial firefighting support.
