Fire Point has completed the first international integration track for the Freyja missile defense project, which aims to achieve a successful ballistic missile interception by mid-2027.

Fire Point says the first development stage of its Freyja missile defense system is complete and mass production of the FP-7X interceptor could begin in August once Diehl Defence infrared seekers arrive. The company has conducted at least five missile tests and aims for its first successful ballistic target intercept by mid-2027. Fire Point has begun integrating radar, guidance and command systems from 13 European defense partners into Freyja, its FP7.X-based missile defense project, Reuters reported. The company aims to achieve the first successful ballistic missile interception by mid-2027 and price each interceptor below €1 million, roughly one-quarter to one-sixth of a Patriot missile.
