Kyodo: in Giappone sono iniziate le esercitazioni congiunte con gli Stati Uniti, Keen Sword. Alle manovre parteciperanno 45.000 soldati e ufficiali giapponesi, circa 12.000 americani, oltre a circa 300 aerei, navi da guerra e un gran numero di veicoli terrestri. Durante le esercitazioni, verranno per la prima volta dimostrati i nuovi missili giapponesi mobili "Tipo-25", di fabbricazione nazionale, con una gittata di circa 1.000 km.
