Two critical PHP flaws (CVSS 9.2) leaked before the patch. Fix due Oct 21, 14:00 UTC. As of Oct 21, Cloudflare and Patchstack report early attacks. PHP 8.1 and older are end of life. #PHP #CyberSecurity https://diesec.com/2026/10/php-critical-vulnerabilities-cve-2026-109618-109619/ https://diesec.com/de/2026/10/php-kritische-schwachstellen-cve-2026-109618-109619-deutschland/

PHP patches two critical RCE flaws today, 14:00 UTC, and has described neither. Both 9.2. The leak behind the date claimed CVSS 10.0 and every version since PHP 5. Unconfirmed. Only 8.2 to 8.5 get a fix. Mallory counts 884,000 internet-facing hosts on 8.1 or older. Banners, not confirmed vulnerable. No patch for them either way. No workaround. CERT-EU says isolate. https://news-web.php.net/php.announce/509 https://mallory.ai/blog/php-rce-rapid-response #PHP #CyberSecurity #VulnerabilityManagement
