The United States has ordered its Navy to shoot and kill any boat attempting to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

Donald Trump says he ordered U.S. Navy to "shoot and kill" any boat that is putting mines in the sea of the Hormuz Strait. He also ordered U.S. minesweepers to increase their activity. Trump also says in another post that U.S. have "total control" of Strait of Hormuz.

Trump: "I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be (Their naval ships are ALL, 159 of them, at the bottom of the sea!), that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation. Additionally, our mine 'sweepers' are clearing the Strait right now. I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled up level! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Trump stated that he has ordered the US Navy to "shoot and destroy any vessels, even small ones, that lay mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz". He said that American mine countermeasures ships are already clearing the strait
