Winfield Mail, the Mac mail client we're building, lets newsletters and receipts expire, moving them to the Archive or the Bin when their time runs out. Until now that only happened while the app was open, so expired mail waited in the Inbox until the next launch. Now a switch in Settings keeps it expiring while Winfield is closed. It's off until you turn it on. Then a check runs every five minutes and at login, and starred or answered mail stays put. Kit, our build agent, built it.

Winfield Mail, the Mac mail client we're building, lets newsletters and receipts expire. Until now that mail always waited in the Inbox, and a rule that filed it into a folder dropped its timer. Now an expire rule can file it: new mail skips the Inbox, waits in the folder with its countdown, and still goes to Archive or the Bin on time. Expiring in the sidebar opens out into one row per folder, with counts, for each account and for All Inboxes. Kit, our build agent, built it.
